Justice League (2009) - 05-24-2008, 04:23 AM

The plot revolves around villainous businessman Maxwell Lord and involves cyborgs called OMACs (One-Man Army Corps), who can take over humans and turn them into killing machines. There are epic battle scenes between Superman and Batman, as well as Superman and Wonder Woman. Superman, the morally upstanding Man of Steel battles Batman and has more to worry about than Kryptonite. Wonder Woman, is revered by the other supers for her beauty and ass-kicking abilities. The Martian Manhunter, his power to read minds comes in handy as the villain engages in some nifty mind control. Green Lantern, designed the Hall of Justice. His emerald power ring shoots beams of energy. Batman, the most human of the bunch is mistrustful of others, which leads to quite a few problems for the clan. FLASH, is the most enthusiastic superhero, he is happy just to be included, but his ravenous appetite leads to trouble. Aquaman, is not a fan of humans, he is more interested in helping his fellow heroes than lending a hand to land dwellers.

Concerning the eponymous Justice League, The O.C. star Adam Brody had been cast as Barry Allen / The Flash, with D. J. Cotrona as Clark Kent / Superman, rapper Common as John Stewart / Green Lantern, Australian supermodel Megan Gale as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, Newcomer Armie Hammer was controversially to be cast as Bruce Wayne / Batman, with Heroes actor Santiago Cabrera as Arthur Curry / Aquaman, and Hugh Keays-Byrne playing J'onn J'onzz / Martian Manhunter. Teresa Palmer and Zoe Kazan had been cast in the supporting roles of Talia Al Ghul and Iris Allen respectively. A number of different actors were fleetingly associated with the project; Jessica Biel had turned down the role of Wonder Woman, while Mary Elizabeth Winstead auditioned. Teresa Palmer and Shannyn Sossamon were also interested, while Christina Milian, a comic book fan, offered her services for the role. Columbus Short turned down the role of Green Lantern, which rapper T.I. was also rumored for.

BTW. Warner said they plan to release 4 indiviual hero movies in the next 3 yrs before a multiple character movie those 4 will most likely be (The Flash, Superman, Batman and most likely Wonderwoman although some have 2 Batman movies coming out within 5-6 mnths. of each other. the movie is set for a 2011 release date
